Nail surgery
For a toenail that keeps coming back. A minor procedure under local anaesthetic at your home, with the phenol treatment that stops it regrowing. £395 all in — £50 at the consultation, the rest only if you go ahead. All follow-ups included.
Evenings until 8pm (+£10) · next-day usually possible
What this actually is
Some toenails keep becoming ingrown no matter how carefully they are cut, because of the shape of the nail itself. Conservative treatment buys relief for a few months and then it comes back. For those, the permanent answer is a partial nail avulsion.
The toe is numbed with local anaesthetic. The offending edge of nail is removed at the root, and the nail bed treated with phenol so that portion does not grow back. The rest of your nail stays. It is a minor procedure, it is done in your own home under a sterile field, and it is far less dramatic than it sounds — the anaesthetic is the only part most people notice.
The £395 includes everything: the consultation, the procedure, the local anaesthetic, all dressings, and every follow-up visit until it is fully healed. I do the redressings myself. You will get written aftercare and my mobile number, and I will tell you exactly what to watch for and when to ring me. A Watford clinic charges £430 to £470 for the same procedure, and you have to get there.
How the money works. Nail surgery always starts with a consultation, and that consultation costs £50. It is an assessment, not a treatment — I come to you, examine the toe, check your circulation and your medication, and tell you honestly whether surgery is the right answer. If you go ahead, that £50 comes straight off the £395, so the total is still £395 and you pay £345 on the day. If you decide not to, or if I advise against it, you have paid £50 for a proper assessment by a registered Podiatrist and owe nothing further.
The form below books the £50 consultation, not the procedure. I will not agree to nail surgery over the phone, because it is not always the right answer — and if conservative treatment will do the job, I will tell you so and you will have saved £345. The £50 comes off the £395 if you go ahead.

Who this is for
Anyone whose toenail keeps becoming ingrown despite conservative treatment.
Book nail surgery at your home
I will ring or text to confirm, usually the same day. Nothing is charged now and nothing is booked until we have spoken.
Would you rather just ring?
Plenty of people would, and that is completely fine. If you would rather explain it out loud than type it into a box, ring me.
Call 07359 729115When I work
Monday to Friday
9.30am – 2pm
5pm – 8pm (+£10)
Next-day appointments can usually be arranged. Ring before 2pm.
Paying
Card or cash at the appointment, or online beforehand if you prefer. Nothing is taken now, and the price is the same either way.
Two of you at home?
A second person at the same address is £50. Mention it in the box and I will allow the time.
Not sure this is the one?
Then do not agonise over it — that is genuinely my job, not yours. Book an initial consultation and we will work it out together, or ring me and ask.
Initial consultation & foot assessment
Your first visit. I take a full history, examine your feet properly, and treat what I find on the day. You will not be asked to book again just to get the treatment you came for.
Foot health treatment
The everyday appointment most people come back for: toenails cut and tidied, corns removed, hard skin and callus reduced, cracked heels treated. One booking, whatever your feet need on the day.
Diabetic foot assessment & care
A thorough check of circulation and sensation, careful nail and skin care, and a written record you can show your GP or diabetes nurse. Regular monitoring is how small problems stay small.
Ingrown toenail treatment
Conservative treatment for a painful nail — the offending spike removed, the nail edge cleared and dressed. Most people walk comfortably again the same day.
